The Bruchejon Foundation has been established in 2005 out of conviction that preserving memory of the past is as important and urgent as fragile and the existence of memory holders is.
Our aim is to create The Oral History Archive - a collection of narrative interviews related to the historical event or national and local heritage that can have a significant meaning for the young generation.
The Bruchejon Foundation works through projects, focused on particular region or historical event. Each project consists of testimonies collection, digitalization of the content, workshops with the youth presenting the topic and encouraging to undertake its own projects, and (preferably) publication. We believe that this method let as give honor to the personal memories of the memory holders and a meaning of it to the young audience.
